Bernard has hosted BBC radio shows and appeared on record-breaking TV shows, and compered concerts at the Royal Albert Hall.  Bernard has a reputation for telling it the way it is but rarely strays far from his sense of fun and humour. Nobody gets bored when he is around, he won’t let them! 

This month's meeting had much lower numbers than usual due to another groups outing that day, one of the pleasures or perils of living in our lovely village!  nevertheless, 61 members, 4 new members and 3 visitors attended.  Bernard Bale told his stories of the London Palladium in the 1950’s and 60’s. This was exercise for our music and entertainment brain cells, but thanks to our regular quiz we managed to answer Bernard’s questions, and his talk prompted memories of many great performers.
